What makes you think she is ready? Potentially isn't?

If she won’t sit on the potty then wouldn’t say she’s overly ready for it. We got a potty for my daughter left upstairs when we’d bath her get her undressed and started sitting her on it like that getting her used to it that way. X

She’s clearly not ready if she won’t sit on the potty…

Have you tried a toilet seat?

Potty training works best if you aren’t ‘making’ them sit on a potty anyway, wait until they know themselves when they need to go. She doesn’t sound ready.

@Rachel she taking her diapers off and she let's me know but won't sit on her potty

Hey Victoria. This sounds like a great start for her potty training. Letting you know and taking her diapers off is a great sign. Though this journey is a very long and emotional one for her and you. You could start by discussing it more and grabbing some books about it from your local library. It can brighten the idea of using the potty and her own body. Praising is also very important! You could try saying “Wow I noticed you took off your nappy. Well done! That’s what mum does with her underwear when she goes potty!” This also opens the idea of using underwear. More discussion and visual will help a lot. If she also has friends similar age that she is aware they use the potty, they could be a great example too! “Wow I noticed you took off your nappy just like your friend “…” when they use the potty!” If you need any more tips feel free to message! I am happy to help!

My daughter hated the potty, we went straight to the toilet and that made such a difference
