Might be a dumb question 🤷‍♀️

Is it okay to use a car seat that is 6 years old? I have all my son’s old car seats and I’m just about ready to change my baby to a convertible car seat and I was wondering if it would be okay to use my son’s old one instead of buying a new one?

I’d check the car seat manufacturer’s website for an expiration date.

Most convertible carseats have a 7 year expiration so you'd get a year out of it (depending on the full date). Target usually has a carseat trade it event in April, you could trade in your old one and get a new one for 20% off.

What car seat and what is the date on the seat x

There should be an expiration date printed on it somewhere ! I would check for that or as others have said, look it up on the manufacturers site
