Helmet or no helmet?

Our baby is 6.5 months old now (see photos of his head today). He was born with torticollis and after a few months of physical therapy his plagiocephaly and torticollis got much better but he developed brachycephaly 😔 Both his pediatrician and physical therapist said his head will correct on its own and that a helmet is not needed. However, I’m not sure that will be the case. What do you all think? Any advice much appreciated!

Hiya my little boy just had his helmet for about a month he now 7 month old and he has got brachycephaly and already in a month we have noticed a change!

@Katie that’s great to hear! How many hours a day does your LO use the helmet?

He wear his around 22 hours a day :)

@Katie awww… so much change already! I hope wearing the helmet doesn’t bother him. That’s another concern I have with our little one 😔

He is not bothered by it at all :) I was the same I was really worried about it but with him rolling around and will be learning to crawl soon it’s actually really handy

That’s good to hear! Thanks!

@Katie how’s your baby progressing with the helmet? We ended up getting one for our boy. It’s been two weeks now and he’s doing well on it.

Hello sorry only just seen this, he getting on Great! Hoping to have the helmet off next month! 🤞🤞

No worries! Did the head improve a lot?

Exciting that you have only one month to go
