So at the table we have booth seating, so he just sits with us. But if he's eating on his own, I use the Chicco snack booster with tray. I don't put the legs up, so it's flat on the floor. I don't strap him in. And he just climbs in and then out when he's done. You can pick them up cheap secondhand, I paid like a tenner. And we take it everywhere with us too which is fab!
Booster seat at dining room table, we got one from smyths x
Just try belting him and give him 2 minutes to see if the crying stops! Their may be a possibility he stops crying and starts eating at least u will know it’s working and slowly he will get used to it
Mine was terrible for the highchair! She is a real climber and even when strapped in climbed out from very very young. It got to the point when she stopped eating because she was so fixed on getting out the chair. I was so fed up from wearing every meal because she was on my lap. I got a booster seat that just straps to my dining chair. And it’s changed my life!! I got mine on vinted too xx
It makes sense, they do grow out of the highchair at this point. The Tripp Trapp or similar brands are great for the toddler years because they can climb up and down at their will. You can get one cheap second-hand.
