Hi!
So I have a particular housing situation in which we rent a room in a 3-storey house. It's just the 2 of us in the house. There is one guest room we can use for guests or if the landlord wanted to ever use it (we have a special deal).
My landlord is very particular, he already doesn't like the fact that we work from home, because we pay very little rent (the house is unfinished). I fear what he will say when he hears we're having a baby. We plan to have him in our room, in a cot, and wouldn't use any of the other rooms for him in the first year of his life and then we'll probably leave the house/London.
Should I tell him (and when?)? Has he any right to evict me if he finds out?
I want to do the right thing but I don't want to end up homeless. Thanks.

You do not need to tell your landlord!

Generally, no. You don't need to tell your landlord. But it sounds like you've got a very unusual agreement. Is there actually a contract?
yes, we do have a contract, it does say no pets but nothing about babies! Haha
well we also have a studio room where we work, a living room, a big kitchen and a garden. We can use all of that. We just can't use another room permanently for a baby or anybody else.
I'm not sharing the house with anyone. It's just me and my partner and the guest room is empty.

Normally no but it sounds like you are more of a lodger than a tennant so maybe?
