How long do you leave to self settle at bedtime?

My boy falls asleep within 5-10 mins of being put in his cot usually. I'd wait as long as possible if she isn't crying?
I leave him as long as it takes if he isn't crying. If you've got the timing right it should take 10-20 minutes. Over 20 you put them down too early, under 10 you might have put them down a bit too late. If she is just starting to learn to self-settle though it can take over 20 minutes just because she's figuring it out.
I leave him for as long as he isn't crying. As soon as he cries I pick him up or settle.
We still feed/cuddle to sleep. Did it with my daughter until she was old enough to say she didn’t want us to
Leave him unless he cries. Pick him straight up if he cries
I’ll just leave him to it unless he cries .. if he cries I’ll be there to shhh him and rub his cheeks until he feels ok again x
It all depends. If he’s laying there quietly I leave him, but if he’s crying and really not happy I’ll pick him up and give him a little cuddle. But he’s pretty good and will lay there quietly and it takes him a good 10 minutes to get himself off x
It depends really, if she's happy I let her try to self settle. If she's having a bit of a whinge but not at all crying, then I leave her 5 - 10 min to see if she settles. If she starts crying, I pick her up and start again.
