When did you start your maternity leave??

I’m heading pretty quickly towards 20 weeks and my employer has started with all the “how long are you planning to take off” & “when do you want to start your maternity leave” questions … I’m curious as to when people started their leave, in regard to their due dates. I shall be working from home 5 days a week towards the end of my pregnancy so I’m guessing I could push it until quite late before taking my maternity leave. I’ve got holiday that i am required to use before I go on leave so that will help allow me to work shorter weeks closer the time too. So hard to predict what will happen😅

Taking mine 3 weeks before due date.. and an extra week for AL. I am 16 weeks so if I manage to retain enough AL I will take off whatever I have left too x

I finished at 34 weeks. Took 4 weeks of annual leave then went onto maternity leave at 38 & 3 (week before she was born)

Officially my mat leave starts 1 week before due date, but I’m taking 2 weeks holiday before that. This is my second. With my first I took a week and baby came the day after last my day! I want more time to lie on the sofa and chill this time!

I finished at 37 weeks, took a weeks leave and started maternity leave leave

I'm finishing at 37 weeks and taking three weeks AL and then maternity from the due date but if she arrives early, my maternity will start from her birth date and then my AL will get added to next year's x

I’m planning to take the maternity leave at 32 weeks as my c section is scheduled at 34 weeks

im almost 30 weeks and my mat leave starts next week so i guess mine starts between 30-31 weeks!! but with my job im on my feet all day so taking it at this time is needed for me
