Periods

I have started to bleed inbetween my periods, has anybody experienced this or know why this could happen!? My daughter is now 21 months old so doubt its related to afterbirth problems.

I've had a few months with random spotting between periods. We are trying for baby number 3 so no idea if it was related to that and maybe stress. No idea.

@Jess I’ve never had it before, then this month it’s been so random I didn’t understand why, I was bleeding for around 5 days straight, it’s been like an extra period in the month! X

@Emily ohh was it heavy enough for a period? Have you started any medication recently that could have affected anything? X

@Jess not as heavy as my normal period but had to wear tampons. Haven’t started anything different, have also been on the pill for just over a year now x

@Emily mmmm our bodies are so confusing. As long as there's no clots... I would see what its like next month. If it happens again might be worth a trip to the doctor

@Jess yeah I looked out for clots but didn’t notice any. Aren’t they just, human bodies are ever so confusing! Especially women’s & having children! I’m wondering whether my body just isn’t happy with the pill anymore as well maybe x

@Emily could be I used to randomly bleed when I was on the pill. Just keep an eye on it and see of it happens again...could just be a one off hopefully.

I have since I had my section never had it last time. I went to the doctors they said it can be done to hormone fluctuating x

@Lena how long ago was your section? Yeah I never had it last time either x

Definitely worth a check with your doctors I’d say if it happens again x

@Mel wonder what it is then! X

@Emily it could be just hormones, it could mean fibroids, endo that’s not to say it is and this really isn’t to scare you but I ignored symptoms of pain/cramps/back pain/random but quite rare bleed outside my period, left it 6 months because I felt it could of been ovulation pain (when I wasn’t on my period) a year down the line I’m having major surgery next Friday for a 16cm hemorrhagic ovarian cyst and to have my ovary and tube out with a biopsy. Please don’t let that scare you but I always used to leave things/not wanting to mither for something I thought was small but now I’m a firm believer in getting checked out even if it turns out you’ve just gone to the doctors and told it’s hormonal imbalance due to the pill. You know your own body X

@Mel yes 100%! No of corse, that’s why I’ve popped this on here for people’s experiences & thoughts on bleeding inbetween periods. I want to hear what everybody has experienced/heard or knows. I have booked an appointment today & am being seen next week, thought I’d pop a message on here. I’ve now got 3 babies, have been on the pill previously & now over a year so was a bit confused if that was the reason. But have also had period like pains with the bleeding 🤷‍♀️ so it’s strange x

@Emily deffo always worth asking! Our body’s are strange things sometimes! Hope all goes well I’m sure it will be and you get peace of mind 😊 x

Well he's 2 in June. It's not every month just the odd few I bleed In between but the doctor wasn't concerned she did a few tests and all came back fine x
