When my daughter was in daycare, we upped her vitamins and started giving her elderberry daily. When we’d pick her up, I’d wipe her face and hands with a wipe before putting her in the car seat and we took her shoes off. When we got home we’d give her a bath and put her PJs on. I’d also do a detox bath once a week. Not sure if that was the tips you’re looking for, but the germs suck. 🫠

@Erika thank you!!!

Be prepared for your baby to be sick every other week. The first day is gut wrenching leaving them. But I think they learn a lot of skills with other babies there, so in the long run it does help them socialize. We have a great daycare, we love them!

Here for the tips!

But Lysol spray or wipes, medicine and baths everyday they get sick easily when starting daycare my kids started last week and have been sick twice

@Erika do you think doing all of that helped your baby’s immunity and she got sick less frequently?

I mean, germs are everywhere at a daycare so sickness is inevitable… but I will say compared to other kids there she wasn’t as sick as long. Shoes not in the car seat is non-negotiable since the ground is disgusting. HFM hit our house and my daughter was only out for two days when other kids were out for over a week. @Saakshi Malhotra

Ok so my biggest recommendation is go and visit your daycare as many times as you need to and ask all the questions. I have been there 2 times, met the teacher, the director and that has been very nice to feel comfortable and lower my anxiety

The first few weeks are going to be tough but remember it’s what’s best for baby and their socialization. My girl is learning so much through daycare it’s the cutest. Be sure to ask all your questions as many times as you need to for clarity. No question is a dumb question. Advocate for you and your baby. It’s YOUR BABY. If you want him/her to be fed a certain way be sure to convey that. If you nap a certain time let them know. Many day cares have rules so be sure to be slightly flexible but it never hurts to ask. Figure out a routine and try to stick with it so baby knows and can get used to it. It helped us with night sleeping I bath my girl everyday. I just jump in the shower with her at night and 3times a week we do a deep bath in her tub. My girl is exclusively bf so I have given her school some frozen milk to keep as back up. Send extra socks, jacket bibs clothes.
