PP Bleeding

I have a midwife appointment tomorrow so will query it then but has anyone else had this and was it normal? Second time baby here, had uterine contractions post birth for two days and passed a lot of clots but since then my PP bleeding has been very mild and working it’s way to nothing, until the last two days. It’s suddenly bright red again and heavier and i’m not sure why. I’ve not had severe pain but a little bit of cramping/mild pain, could it do with me trying to do more physically? Just looking for solidarity I guess!

Yes mine seemed to reduce and then increase again and has reduced again. NHS website mentioned about being active and I had been going on longer walks etc x

Mine has been intermittent, heavy one minute then almost completely stopped then back up to heavy again etc. Midwife says this normal, and I think continues up to 6 weeks pp

I had the exact the same. It could be because you are trying to do more physically. Since day 1 I have been overdoing it hence why my bleeding has started again with cramping im only 3 weeks pp 🥲 but it is slowly stopping again after 4 days of new bright red bleeding x

If you mention it to the midwife, she might refer you back to maternity for tests, I had blood tests and swab done just to be on the safe side z

Thanks all! No clots or anything (yet) so not concerned enough to do anything today but hopefully will get some advice tomorrow. At least I’m not alone! I was fully getting excited about how quickly it was going this time, how wrong I was 😅🥲 I’m 2 weeks PP so it is early days

Mine completely stopped 10 days pp until yesterday I started spotting (14 days pp) and today heavy bright red blood with period like cramps. I had midwife appointment today and she said she thinks that it’s my first period but to just monitor it.

@Libby Out of interest are you breastfeeding or no? I combi fed for 7 months then EBF the last part until 15 months first time round and my period didn’t return until at least 15 months, so fully expecting (hoping!!) it will be the same this time fully EBF from the start 🤞🏻
