Painted my daughters at 2. I just used non-toxic. I was a tomboyish myself but I’ve always loved color on my nails. My daughter likes it but peels it off immediately 🙄.

Yeah I’d be okay with it even younger. My daughter is only 17 months right now. But I paint my nails because I like it. But also because it helps me not bite my nails. And when my daughter gets older if she wants to do it with me she can.

I paint my 4 years olds nails all the time. My mom has even taken her to a nail salon as a gift. She loves it.

My boy is 4 with a nail tech auntie, and whenever he’s asked he gets his painted. Think she first did it when he was about 2.5, and it’s a very rare occasion.

We had our nails painted around 3-4

I personally dont think nail painting is against God

@Cici its not its a more of is it age appropriate

I think it’s fine as long as it’s non toxic

My husband already painted our 6 month olds toes, it was very cute. We use language like ‘fancy’ instead of ‘pretty/beautiful’ and are going to teach her that it is not about improving yourself but it can be fun. Also, I am a total tomboy and use tools, dig in the dirt, and play sports with my nails done to this day.

My 4yo has her nails painted occasionally. It’s the only way I can get her to let me cut her nails

Most nail polish is toxic and nails absorb into the body…… I would do non toxic nail polish like piggy paint or something similar

Painting their natural nails sure but fake nails no not till 14-15

My mum used to take me to the nail shop all the time and they’d paint my nails for free whilst she got hers done probably started around 3. It was nice bonding time with her and when we didn’t go to the nail shop she’d do them at home I think it’s nice and there’s no harm in it

i paint my 2.5 year old's toes - she's obsessed since she saw me painting mine! i think it's fine

Painted no issues, but false nails, heeeck no.

Started painting my daughter’s nails around 2 but I used kids nail polish. They just peel off.

Ive been painting my daughter's nails as soon as she could walk, she wanted to replicate me.

When my daughter shows interest and wants for me to paint them I will even if she is very young. I wouldn’t make her though if she never shows an interest.

I actually love that a lot. I don’t know if I’ll be able to deny my girl all the fun girly things though 😅

Just painting then sure. Just not gel manicures or extensions or anything along those lines

i don’t see an issue at all. to me it’s not that deep, painting nails is just for fun

It was introduced for me to stop me from biting my nails and was a rare thing. I don't see a problem with it unless its being pushed as a 'have to do this to look pretty' type thing.

Maybe just not gel polish.

We get non toxic wash off nail varnish at Claire’s, she wants them painted then off immediately lol 😂 it’s a bit of fun and creative x

Heck, I would paint my 3 year old daughter’s nails if I thought she’d sit still long enough for them to dry. 🤷‍♀️

My daughter's nursery paints all the kids nails and they love it. Nail polish doesn't have a gender, heck even animals wear it 😅

Both my kids love painting their nails! My daughter got it for the first time on her 3rd birthday. I have a at home kit so I do mine a lot and theirs every once in a while

innocent, especially if the mother does it , daughter most likely wants to explore. however i would just do glitter options. i wouldn't be something i push for but i wouldn't hesitate to do it if she wanted to.

I feel like it’s ok to paint their nails if they would like that. I don’t think painting nails is unnatural or will make them be extra lady (not sure what that means). It’s not going to hurt them physically or mentally. I definitely get makeup though! Makeup can be toxic and bad for their skin…

There are some nail polish safe for kids now and I will allow it bc well myself I have it on my feet nails and then also I always have been veryyyyyy girly even if my mom wasn’t and it was very frustrating for me to be forbidden of everything : my mom never understood and was like “not your age to be pretty for boys 🤦‍♀️” even at 4y old when I wanted some noisy princess shoes .. Like as if being pretty was for boys .. 🤣 Let be girls be girls or be boyish as they want, it’s not a big deal as long as they use age adapted products!

I see no issue woth it at any age. It comes off. It’s just polish

As a nail tech who has a daughter and one on the way, I don’t see an issue personally. I’ve bought peel off nail varnish which is literally for kids for if she takes an interest (my niece has just turned 3 and she’s been wanting to paint everyone’s nails for ages as her mum does them also). I think it just depends on what your preference is, like mines my job so she might just want to do it copying me is my perceptive

My daughters nearly 3 and asks me to paint her nails or I'll pay for her to come with me to the nail shop. She loves it and it's no harm.

If my boys (5y and 2y) see me painting mine, i HAVE to paint theirs 😅

There’s no harm in nail polish acrylic absolutely no though

I've been painting my daughter's nails since she was one lol. We use the Piggy Paint brand that's meant for toddlers. I've never been into makeup, I literally own nothing more than lip gloss, but my nails are always going to be done. Even as a kid when I was a tomboy. But also, I come from a "nails done" kind of family. I started getting them professionally done by a nail tech at least once a month at 13. My big cousin took me to her nail and hair girls religiously!
