Progesterone is used in IVF pregnancies to help with lots of things in the initial weeks - I was terrified to come off mine as I thought my body really needed it to help my baby along but all seems ok! The pessaries aren’t that bad at all, messy if inserting vaginally but you get used to it!
my first pregnancy i was bleeding a lot like gushing out blood and soaking through everything at 13 weeks. I then had my cervix shortening at 15 weeks. I got put on progesterone - stored it in the fridge and put it up my butt every night. My bleeding stopped and i didn’t give birth until i spontaneously went into labour at 38 weeks. I believe it saved my pregnancy and baby 🫶🏼 It’s up to you at the end of the day this was just my experience
Oh bless you, I know the worry too well. I had a miscarriage in December. In this current pregnancy I had bleeding at 6 weeks, scan showed a healthy looking baby and they prescribed me progesterone. They advised there may be a little bleeding from slight irritation, but I didn’t experience any. They also suggested this can be popped up the back passage (so any side effects will be separate from the vaginal area). Mine slip in easily, they almost seem waxy to help go in, it was a bit odd at first but now it’s fine. At the end of the day it’s completely up to you. I was just so worried of another mc I’d try anything. But I completely understand your nerves.
