Job offer advice plz!

Hey just looking for opinions/ experiences of anyone thats been offered a role in early pregnancy. I know that i legally dont have to disclose until I accept the offer etc but it just feels so odd to me not mentioning it! Any one experienced this? Any advice or tips on how to approach it? TIA!

You don't have to tell them legally untill your 15 weeks away from having your baby "due date" or it's obvious that your pregnant Im in the same boat I have just taken on a new job everything I've read including my company policy states this but it is down to your feelings too

Thanks! I just feel odd starting without telling them as i have a 3 month notice period which would mean being in post for only 2 months or so before leaving for Mat leave!

Only thing to watch out for is that if you're paid above a certain level you might get worse maternity pay if you're already pregnant when you join somewhere so worth looking into that. Normal statutory minimum is 6 weeks at 90% and then onto SMP (£184 a week) after that but if you join somewhere already pregnant you get maternity allowance from day 1 (also £184 a week) so you miss the 6 weeks at 90% bit. Doesn't stop you from doing it though just worth being aware in case it's an issue financially!

I’m in the same situation, applied for a job before I found out I was pregnant but had already left my previous job as moving cities. In the time between my job offer and first starting day I found out I was pregnant. I worked for 2 weeks and then told them as I felt like I could. They were over the moon and excited and we had a conversation about what would happen when the baby came (decided to end my contact then as I’m a nanny). It generally went better than I could’ve hoped. Remember you won’t be entitled to mat leave or pay, just maternity allowance so you can just leave the job when you want after 25 weeks and still get maternity allowance.
