Vacation

My parents are going on vacation roughly a month after my due date and told me that all I need to do is “get there” meaning the plane ticket for myself, my husband and our 3-year-old. I would love to go given I will already be on maternity leave so I won’t have to take additional time off of work and the vacation is free except flights. Where I am hesitant, is baby will only be a month old and I truly don’t know what the risks (besides sickness) would be. Would you travel with a one month old? Have you traveled with a one month old? Looking for genuine advice. TIA!

My husband and I were talking about this today. We always go to my sister's for thanksgiving, 12 hour drive away. We talked about flying but illness and driving, which we usually do, but nursing every 5 minutes makes that hard so we are undecided still. With our first we didn't allow people around her for 2ish months. Also with it being flu and cold season that makes me even more worried about traveling at all. I guess I just said all that to say I'm in the same boat and don't know what to do either. Sorry.

We were going to drive to Ohio to spend Christmas there but now we are not sure because the baby will be about 2 month old and it will be alot of people and and the baby wont have the 3 month shots yet.. so I think we are going to stay home instead. And we would have to stop at least every 2 hours. Infants can't stay in car seats for a long time. And our oldest will be almost 2,so he will need a lot of stops too. But same boat .
