Why is working a job easier than staying home with the boys but I still rather be at home with my babies?

I'm a dental assistant. I was working part-time as a traveling ortho assistant before I got pregnant the first time. Anywhere from 1-3 days a week it was rare and brutal on all assistant if we worked 4 days in a week lol Daycare was not something my husband and I were interested in, so I stay home. My mom comes for a week once a month if her job allows so that I can work. This month she wasn't able to come so I had our niece take care of our boys for 2 days. Which meant working plus mommying. I was exhausted! So I'm back at home with the boys. I had to sneak to take my shower to avoid waking one and trying to be quiet enough for the other to continue hanging out in his crib so I can moisturize my body and skin care without having to rush through it. My 1yo has already had 2 meltdowns before 12 but still prefer it. Am I crazy or what? Lol

Its the cuteness factor lol. The kids will be driving me insane and then the toddler will hit me with the "I love you mommy. Hug?"

Totally not crazy! Being a sahm is the hardest thing I’ve ever done but I’d never want to do anything else. Mind you, I’m peak terrible 2’s. There’s just nothing more rewarding than being with your child every step of the way through their growth.

I’m fighting the urge to consider working part time or school maybe …. If I get daycare idk. So dumb . I have a bf but I can’t relax and think he will have my back 5 years down the road as much as I want to.

I was a steep roofer so staying home definitely is easier, although I am tired all the time just the same (other jobs I've had were markedly easier that being a SAHM but roofing was my career)
