I have a small baby as well measuring small since about 20 weeks (bouncing between 5-10th %). I’m 37 weeks and scan earlier this week was 5lb4oz. I have low Papp a as well so will go for induction 39 weeks. However I think in your case they will keep an eye because the growth may be slowing down as such. So I guess they will do Dopplers to ensure the placenta is still doing well, ctg monitoring and maybe some bloods and just keep an eye on baby with extra scans. Just keep an eye on movements as that’s a good indicator of health as well. Hopefully doctor will be able to advise further on next steps!
@Sadie thank you, that’s reassuring. I’m glad your babies were born healthy x
Smooth first pregnancy however with this one my girl measured 9th centile at 20w and I’ve been under fetal med consultant care since. I’m 35w now and she’s tracking at 15th. Have you asked what size your first was at the same date? Turns out my boy was 15th too but I had no idea he was on the smaller side and found it reassuring. He’s a tall/big 2 year old now so I’m hoping for the same outcome
They said this with my son, and had to have an emergency c section at 35 due to preeclampsia but he was born weighing 5 pound 8. When I was told he was 4 pound 5 lol xx
Try not to worry to much right now, I’ve been referred to fetal medicine twice in this pregnancy. At 32+3 weeks my girl was measuring 3lbs 11oz on the 4th percentile up from the 1.5th percentile at 30 weeks. My son was born on the 5th percentile. Sometimes babies are just small, but the NHS take massive precautions about them, I’ve had a lot of scaremongering in both my pregnancies because of it when in fact they are both healthy just little x
