I put baby girl in a carrier for her first nap of the day and use it to walk the dogs. I find it much easier being hands-free with her in the carrier whilst walking them x
I'm always out with my dog and baby. Since the day he had his vaccines we were walking him We got him as a baby when my little girl was 1 week old. We're getting close to having him for a year now. Don't get wrong it's taken me some training to get him walking nicely with the pram and when she's in the carrier. He's a VERY big boy and very strong for little me (I'm 5ft 5 and he's a 40kg husky cross). Honestly they adventures I've with these 2 have been the best and I know this is just the start of it all! Babies will adjust to any routine you have. You could go about your normal routine with pup and baby will just go along with it
Aww take both of them out! One hand on the buggy and the other for the dog leash. We have a Samoyed but his best friends were all frenchies when I had my baby 3 years ago! They also don’t run fast 🤣 so it’s much easier than a Samoyed! If the park is opposite that’s so good! I now have a 3 year old toddler and a newborn baby but I still take my dog for 45min walk in the morning without the kids! Husband is home. Then we all go out about 2-4 for half hour and actually I do give him a 20min walk about 10pm. Once newborn is asleep. Because my husband is a bit like yours, can’t be bothered. Although if I ask he helps!
Thank you for the advice and encouragement everyone! I’m recovering from my emergency c section as well as a little bit of nerve damage from sciatica and my Baby’s positioning while I was pregnant. This week I did say it will be all about my Fur baby but then baby girl got her first cold so I haven’t been able to go out as much But she’s slowly getting better so I will start practicing taking my dog out with the stroller!
Go out together with your little one in the buggy. I loved it. I was the same as you. It's important they don't get neglected as they can get upset and possibly lash out if they feel like they're being replaced. It also gave me the chance to leave the house as I know it feels like you can be trapped with such a little baby.. even for 10 mins.. you'll be happy you did xx
