Well- if you love the weather here… Greece will be the only place similar ( that’s if you live by the coast) if you don’t live by the ocean… not sure why you would pay to be here…
Just left Ventura , Ca on Friday!! Been in CA for over 20 years we just made the leap out to Texas 😭🩷 it’s so bitter sweet especially if you have family nearby and you’re close to them It’s still fresh but I’m hoping for the best! Sometimes a new start opens new doors!! I was stuck at a mid level job and being a sahm because it was so expensive to live there but I got here on Sunday and I was already offered a great paying general manager position for what I love so it’s scary but I think it’ll be worth it in the end. Made me cut the umbilical cord from my mom for sure
I grew up in Texas… it wasn’t bad- we were by the water- a lot to do and good variety of food- but again it’s all going to depend on what kinda life you want… I have to live by water so if I was gonna go it would be Florida- but I also have a very established business here and for what I do the industry is here so…
Leaving CA next month! Moving to Oregon
Considering going to Vegas. The housing is so much more affordable and its only a 4 hr drive.
@Diana we were looking in Summerlin! Very nice up and coming city.
We left 2 years ago and didn't know where we wanted to go so we just traveled the US. Definitely liked the newer part of Austin and like Atlanta. Neither have beaches obviously but they have a lot of nice nature trails with water. It depends what you're looking for though. We didn't care for Florida much and we went thi Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Naples. I lived in Vegas for a while and it's tough to get used to long term bc it's a transient city
We might go back to reno,nv. Grew up here and moved there and had my daughter but moved back to la recently and already ready to leave again.
I’m in the same boat, but not too sure where to move😅
We just moved here from Florida, and the housing is quickly catching up with CA, but the pay definitely isn’t. Our current rent is only a couple hundred more than our previous rent, and we have 1 more bedroom here. However, my husband got a significant pay increase to move here. Florida weather is also awful comparatively. You get maybe one or two months of nice weather and then it is either super hot or super rainy.
Moved to Montana in May of last year ☺️ So different than our big city life in Downtown LA, but in all the right ways. We love it so much! Any specific questions let me know.
@Amanda Reiley i visited Bozeman a long time ago, i remember it fondly. I'm sure it's grown quite a bit!
Oregon. We are looking to get out but seeing as we are having a girl it’s important to use we go to a state that is still supportive of women reproductive care. Plus there is so much wonderful outdoor-ness. Waterfalls. Trees. Peace.
Some states pay you to move there. Here you go: https://www.redfin.com/blog/states-that-pay-you-to-move-there/
LOVED Miami and LOVED Atlanta Miami I didn’t have any of my environmental allergen triggers The humidity was great for my hair and skin and the beach was better Atlanta was so green and there were so many nature centers close and parks and trails were less than 45 min away for a good hike And I loved the culture And i was renting but had a 3bed 2bath 1300sqft house on a 1/4 acre lot for $1600 a month But now im back home… allergies are bad again lol rent is crazy But im close to family and theres good food
