Baby feeding lots

Anyone else had days where their baby just feeds constantly? My girl is 6 weeks old and every now and again she'll have days where she just wants bottle after bottle but today has been so much harder. I've tried everything to try distract her but she just screams until she gets a bottle. I'm wondering if she's maybe going through a growth spurt as I know this can make them feed more often. I just don't want to end up overfeeding her, she's not being sick or anything she's just had a lot of milk today like she's finishing 4oz and then half an hour later wanting more where I've just offered an extra 1 or 2oz but she's wanting more constantly but my health visitor said not to up her milk yet as she's still only small and it could make her sick. I've been told to feed her little and often but today it's really took its toll on me I haven't even had chance to get dressed or washed I feel like all I've done today is make bottles and feed her.

are you breastfeeding or formula feeding? i formula fed my first and he was exactly the same - and my second was breastfed and did this as well. most of the time its comfort they want even if they are acting like they're hungry. its completely normal! please dont worry, have you tried a dummy? x

@talia she's formula fed and I'm hoping it's just a passing phase, I've tried her with a dummy but she isn't interested in it at the moment. I'm wondering maybe the teat on the dummy isn't right for her as she constantly spits it out. I will have to look into some other brands see if I can find one she will be comforted by xx

are you using size 0-6 dummies or 0-2? x

I’m assuming she might be going through a growth spurt. I’m breastfeeding so I’m not sure how you deal with it when it comes to bottle feeding. My LO ate a lot more frequently when she had a growth spurt. Maybe try googling growth spurt and formula.
