We currently keep ours downstairs with us, we might try and start using the baby monitor for this part of the evening once or twice a week so as to get into the habit but really right now he seems fine staying with us so no point messing with something that works! X
@Jess thanks Jess, is he in a moses basket when he's downstairs? I'd happily keep her down there but she's outgrown everything!
We do the bedtime routine, get her to sleep then she sleeps on me downstairs until we head to bed at around 10pm, then she goes into the next to me. She wakes up in the bassinet now as I think she's getting a bit big for it and I like an easy, quiet life so I hold onto her to keep her asleep 😅 xx
@Anastasia thank you! I'm currently doing the same!
I still just go to sleep when she does at night 🤣. I'm exhausted by the end of the day.
I’m going to bed with mine at 8! I’m so shattered I’m quite happy to head up with her for now. She’s only been sleeping independently for a couple of weeks so I keep thinking it’s going to unravel any time and I should get my sleep in while I can. She’s also really unpredictable past about 4:30am so I don’t feel able to give up a moments sleep.
We go up with baby at 8.30pm after last bottle and change downstairs. We use the early night for some adult time together, put on white noise so we can chat and then usually asleep by 10 ourselves x
Ours is either in his pram bassinet or just on us for an easy life; I’ll go to bed about 9/9.30 with him so he goes into his next to me then, that sometimes takes a bit of shushing, but otherwise is an okay transition x
When our girl was about 10 weeks old we started doing a bedtime routine because she was having really bad witching hours in the evenings / until we went to bed So we start bath time around 6pm and then give her a bottle and get her to bed by 7pm in her next to me and we watch her on the baby monitor until I head up to bed around 9:30pm. It’s been working so well for us and it’s stopped our witching hours! She’s a much happier baby and she’s doing really long stretches now and only waking up once for a feed in the night 😁 she’s 15 weeks now x
I forgot to say we make the room dark and put white noise on whilst she’s having her feed and she falls asleep pretty much immediately, we also have a bath which we can take into the bedroom so we bath her in there under a galaxy projector and we play lullaby music whilst she’s in the bath, it’s really good for winding down and has been working amazing
Downstairs with us until 5 months when we willmstart a proper bed time routine and she will go in her own room x
We take our LO up between 7-8 upstairs for his last bottle, then he goes in his next to me crib, and we put the baby monitor on him until we come up to bed, which isn't late It's about an hour later we have a 3 year old too so I enjoy going to bed haha
