Newborn sleep essentials
When my first was born, we didn't swaddle him , we just had him in blankets and I was constantly on edge that he'd go under.
As soon as he was big enough after a few weeks, we put him in a sleep sack/sleeping bag which he was in those until very recently (he's almost 2.5) and he'd always slept really well.
I'm due in May amd don't know what to do this time around. I asked in Mamas and Papas if there are any sleeping bags they can go in from newborn (but I don't want to swaddle) and she recommended these.
Has anyone used these?
Are there any cheaper but just as safe versions?
Any other recommendations?

Thank you - yeah I also buy the cheap ones from primark and asda but often they don't go from newborn size wise. I have all my son's stuff saved but a lot of those cheaper ones are 7.5lb or 8lb upwards so it just in case baby is born and doesn't fit these 😊
I’m using the love to dream ones and they are so good! Worth the money, my baby sleeps with his arms up so he loves them where as when the midwife swaddled him properly he went mental

Yeah I buy the $10 Kmart ones 😂 some have Velcro closure some have a zip, but they all “swaddle” the baby. Amazon and shein have cheap ones too. It’s literally just 2 pieces of material sewed together to make a “pouch” and then added Velcro or zips to it, I figured I didn’t need to spend $30 on one when I can get them for $10 On cold nights though I used those and then a stretchy wrap over to swaddle him further sleeping like that he had 2hr day naps and slept 3-4hrs at night, his jerks didn’t wake him up when I swaddled
