Vaccines

I’m indecisive about getting the whooping cough vaccine. I’ve heard mixed reviews and I don’t know what is right or wrong. What do you all think🤷🏼‍♀️

The whooping cough vaccine is to protect baby, it passes the antibodies through mum to baby. If a newborn catches whooping cough it most cases the baby dies, from being unable to breathe. There are more pros than cons to having the vaccine. I’ve had the vaccine this pregnancy and my previous pregnancy and all I got was a tiny bruise. If your un-decided have a look at the research articles with all the facts to help you come to a decision.

I had it with my 1st and ill be 100% having it again

Personally I had it with my 1st and will again. When my 1st had to be omitted to hospital when few weeks old for unrelated matter there were some babies there suffering with whooping cough and I was so grateful she had the vaccine I would not have wanted her to go through that

I'm planning to have it next week. Personally, I haven't seen any risks associated with it, and I wouldn't want to take the risk of my baby not being vaccinated against it since it can be fatal x

Yes 100% will be giving my baby the best protection they can get

Catching whooping cough is extremely dangerous for newborns, absolutely recommend vaccination to protect baby as much as possible
