My little one had severe nappy rash for 3 weeks! Was red raw, skin peeling and so sore 😭 we tried everything, all the creams you can buy, nappy free time, antibiotics & steroid creams! The only things that actually worked were using cool boiled water and cotton pads, dabbing at the skin, and applying a thin layer of Vaseline every single nappy change, and honestly it took 48 hours and it was completely gone!

Our LO had nappy rash and my sister advised using olive oil to clean her bottom instead of wipes and honestly it made such a difference! That combined with Vaseline or if you can source any of the yellow metanium which I know is few and far between now but we’ve honestly continued to use olive oil to clean her and her skin has been great since xx
Aquaphor works amazingly every time and has for all 4 of my kids.
Welda calendula nappy cream has worked really well for us now metanium isn’t available
Thank you! We have Metanium but it doesn’t seem to be helping either 🥲 Will try Vaseline for a bit as we do have this to hand!
@Sophie I second Welda my little boy had a sore bottom and this cleared it up straight away!
We use weleda. Sorted it out within a few uses
We used metanium and it didn’t work surprisingly, but really thick layers of sudacrem worked. As well as using cotton wool instead of wipes and having some nappy free time
I might get some of the Weleda cream! HV mentioned it too as the new Metanium so must be worth a go. Thanks everyone this has been so reassuring ❤️🩹
I used Clotrimazole and it got better within a few hours
Same situation here! My little girl never had nappy rash, but my little boy poops so much more than she ever did! We were using sudocrem, but health visitor advised if he’s still sore try something else so we’ve started using Vaseline which has made it a lot better, but still looks sore x
