When did you first travel without your baby?

When was your first overnight trip (even for 24h) where someone else looked after the baby? How old was your baby?

When each of our kids were 4 months old, we did a one night staycation 7 minutes away in a hotel. My parents stayed at our house to watch them.

Unless you want to count giving birth at the hospital a 5 minute walk away when my son was 2.5, I haven't.

i only left her to go to hospital to give birth to her sister, she was a few days away from turning 2. haven't done it since and probably won't for a good while😅

Only left mine when I gave birth to my 2nd

May get some hate for this but I don’t care. My mom keeps my son one night a week most weeks since he was 3 weeks old. My husband tore his ACL and I was exhausted getting depressed the first time my mom took him overnight and I slept finally. After that she asks usually weekly on Thursdays or Fridays and more often then not I take him later in the day let him stay the night and pick him up early the next dsy. However my mom follows all of my boundaries has a crib and bassinet, his preferred milk, toys, special lotion we use, sippy cups, diapers, wipes and anything else my son could ever possibly need while there so it isn’t hard to let him sleep at grams for the night.

Probably not till she’s not breastfeeding at all and a little older because we’ll probably have a second before I’m comfortable leaving her (18m)

He was like 2. But it was a sleepover at my sisters’, no one took a trip. He has cousins his age there he can play with. Having said that hubby has looked after baby for 3-7hr spurts since 2m pp, when I see gfs or we have a all day event on, since I see friends weekly it could be 2hrs it could be 7hrs. So hubby has watched baby many many times, just not overnight until 2.

So with my first I did not let her stay anywhere overnight til I had my second so she was 22 months.

Mine was about 11 months I had to get an emergency appendectomy and my husband was in the field so I had no choice. It was rough I think mainly because of the circumstances.

Stayed at a friends after a night out at 3 months x

I read this wrong I thought it said travel with baby not without😂I haven’t yet and not sure when I would but I may be going to Paris for the day in the summer so she’d be around 16 months

Dad watched baby while I went away for the night for my little brothers 18th. Baby was about 8 months old.

I accidently clicked the wrong button. My baby is 9.5 months and never been away from him overnight, don't plan on it until he's old enough to talk tbh!

@ScrunchyMama I agree I feel very blessed to have my parents so involved but you would be suprised at the amount of comments I get from other moms shaming me for it. I just chop it up to my child is my decision yours is yours and that’s all that matters but it sucks to hear. I lost my grandma at 13 and I was extremely close to her so it feels right letting my kids be as close to my parents as they can/want to because one day they may not be here so we cherish the time we have now.

@Brisa honestly they’re probably jealous lol. My kids have been having a monthly sleepover with my parents since my youngest was two. You have a trusted village, there’s no problem using.
