Wow so I need to prove my partner wrong about something because he’s grinding my gears

My partner said during an argument we had, “oh well people are usually ready to have kids when they have kids” and “well you can’t have kids to then complain it’s hard”. Honestly I’m fuming and gobsmacked. What the hell do I say to this?

No one is ready to have kids until they have a baby in their arms, you can try and prepare but it will never be enough. Also you can 100% complain that it is hard it’s the hardest job in the world and regardless of whether you planned your baby had a surprise pregnancy or how ever they came into the world it will always be harder than you thought. I’m on baby number two and still don’t feel like I was “ready” for the actual day to day life of having kids

🖕🖕🖕 that is what you say!!! No one is ever ready to have kids. No matter how ready you think you are, you're not 🤦🏻‍♀️. And raising them is bloody hard!!! Toddlers are little demons. I was genuinely counting down the hours yesterday to go to work for some peace and quiet. I took a day off work today, still sent my son to nursery 7.30am till 5.30pm just so I could have some me time because I need it. Because it is hard!!!
