@Liv it just feels so soon and I dont know what to expect but i am excited and really want to see my girl
I was unexpectedly induced with my first (40wks) and had a planned induction with my 3rd (38+6). What’s got you scared? What can we do to help?
@Kara if you wanna message me i can share my experience:)
My induction was amazing☺️You often hear such bad stories but I had a really positive experience. I went in on the Thursday and managed to get the balloon in, which gave me quite strong pain for the first 12 hours and it eased over the next 12. I then was taken down to labour ward around 3:30 and had my waters broken at 4ish on the Friday. They started me on the hormone drip at 10pm and I was able to cope through first 2 hours with hypnobirthing techniques and then used gas and air after that🥰My little girl was born at 2:49am. A very quick labour and very sore don’t get me wrong🤣 but the loveliest experience ever!! I would go back and do it all again in a heartbeat x
If you have any questions feel free to give me a little message x
I was worried about stronger contractions with induction and getting an epidural. Epidural was not painful at all and in certain way I like I had the induction scheduled. There was no stressful rush to the hospital not knowing if I’m in active labor or not. So there are some positives too with being induced
I was 38 weeks too! Honestly for me, it was soo not as bad or scary as I imagined it to be. Was there tons of discomfort? Yes!!! Did I sleep at all that night waiting for my water to break? Nope not at all lol but I really tried to just go into it more excited and impatient to meet my baby than be nervous. I knew I was in great hands at the hospital and had my husband as a great support system there with me! As much as time seems to go by so slow, it really flies by! It’s such a surreal time but you’ll do great, and you will be just over the moon in love when you see that baby of yours for the first time that you’ll be like, how silly was I to be so terrified! 🥰 ETA: yay see you are so excited to see your girl!! 💕 my water broke 8 hrs after the pitocin and the pressure for the baby sitting in me so low really had me think that when I had to pee that I was literally gonna give birth. I felt like I was gonna poop her out and now 1.5 years later I still crack up thinking about it 😂
If it's not medically necessary, you have every right to decline the induction. 💕
It's normal to be scared af! I was induced, and I was sweating bullets when I walked into labor and delivery. If you plan on getting an epidural, ask for it at the same time they start your induction. My birth was a breeze and pain-free.
I was induced with my first at 39 weeks (I was 1cm at the time of induction) and had such an amazing experience that I am doing an elective induction this time around at 39 weeks to!
I was induced at 39 weeks and I found the best way to deal with it all was to just plead ignorance lol. I just went with the flow and didn't stress about anything. They broke my waters at 10am and baby was born at 18:31 that day and I was home after 24 hours of giving birth
I was induced with my first at 37 weeks in January. What has you nervous so i can try to help
