So for general vaginal health- No tight leggings/jeans/yoga pants. Wear these on days you really have to, do not live every day in leggings At night or under skirts go commando, let it breathe as much as possible. Bamboo or cotton undies no synthetics No soaps just water to clean, it doesn’t need any fragrances just water to clean sweat Stop tampons - it sucks all the moisture out including any good bacteria Probiotics - daily yakult, kombucha, yogurt or kimchi And yes no semen. Condoms are great, but make sure 👆🏼 all that is being followed as well. For now I would wear loose pj pants no undies and let her breathe while she heals
Are you currently pregnant? Taking antibiotics? Overweight? These can all be contributing factors. You may need to change your diet since some foods can cause overproduction of yeast. And it sounds like it never fully went away to begin with, and only symptoms were relieved. You may need a second opinion and check whether it’s yeast or vaginitis from pain/itching long term. Wishing you relief and recovery.
A low sugar, low carb diet might help. It could be a good idea to go to your doctor and get your blood sugar levels checked too
@LaShawna no I’m not on antibiotics
@Helen yes I do know my sugar levels are elevated not diabetic but borderline so I am trying to change my diet
I'd get on and antibiotic and have my partner on them as well so that we aren't passing it back and forth. And check into taking boric acid!
@C antibiotics are good for yeast infections? Idk if I can do boric acid since I’m breastfeeding
No, it causes them
@LaShawna ohh okay so yeah don’t want that
Lol nope
Ask your dr about the boric acid. There was a year where I was getting them a lot and got medicine from the doctor that was basically a stronger monstat but I had used boric acid regularly and then I didn't have that issue. I wasn't breastfeeding though.
Are you taking antibiotics? I think that causes them. If not, you need another doc visit
