Short Cervix/ Modified Bed Rest What is normal?

I was diagnosed with a short cervix at 21 weeks originally (1.5) now at 23 weeks we are at 1.45 and I am on progesterone! I used to be an extremely busy person so I will admit I lean into the modified of modified bed rest more than not! 🫣 Yesterday was a pretty active day for me and it was 86 degrees outside! After cooking dinner I started having pretty bad vaginal/cervical pain. When I google some say it’s just normal growth of baby but I want to be sure if I should call or mostly just take it easy today! I am the first person of my friends to be a mom so I just don’t have anyone to say what’s normal and what’s not!

I haven't had that but I have gone into labor before. I would say you should probably slow down if you feel pain down there after moving around. Could mean you're dilating more.

Update: I did go into my doctor and I was 1cm dilated! And now we’re doing a rescue cerclage! 🤦🏾‍♀️

I would definitely stay to bed rest from now on.. especially since you needed the stitch, don't want to risk anything else happening.

Sorry to ask, but was you aware of that from early on? As in were you categorised high risk since you knew about pregnancy or how did you find out?

@Ana I actually found out by “accident” my baby girl was just stubborn at her 20 week anatomy scan and they sent me to fetal medicine to get a better look at her organs because of the equipment and they saw it when doing a transvaginal! The hard thing is all this happened over the course of 2 weeks. We found out it was short at 21 weeks and I dilated by 23!
