Cut baby's finger while cutting nails
I usually file my baby's nails but thought I'd try the clippers and accidently cut his skin on his thumb 😭 it did bleed quite alot but seems to be ok, I can't put a plaster on as he keeps putting his fingers in his mouth. Is it likely to get infected from his saliva? Feel like a terrible mum haha

Also done this, felt awful. I put a little bit of sudocrem on the cut then a plaster on to help it heal a little quicker. If you keep an eye on the cut and clean it every now and then, it shouldn’t get infected from him finger sucking. Xx
Did this once and felt so bad, now I use an electric nail filer and my LO doesn't mind it at all.
Also the saliva won’t infect it. It contains natural antibiotics that are tailored to your baby’s immune system. He’ll be fine sucking on it, and it speeds up the healing.
I did this to my boy and i think i cried more than him in the end 🙈 it looked awful but within a day it was on the mend. Yours will be fine 🫶🏻

I think everyone has nicked their baby’s finger at some point, don’t stress about it 😊 I’ve done it, I use small emery boards now to file them
