How would you pronounce Cian? (US based)

We live in the western United States and I’m in love with the name, but fear it would be mispronounced more often than not

I would guess "Chan," "Chee-ann," or "Si-Ann" and I feel like they're all wrong... It's a name I've never seen before.

It’s Cee-an (hard C sound)

@Catherine so like "key-ann"

@Kelli this is how I'd say it

Yeh, it’s Irish!

Oh, okay. I like it, but I'm pretty sure in the US it's gonna get mispronounced a lot.

Key-Uhn - hard K at the start, and the ending pronounced like the name Ian. i prefer Cian as a spelling as it is the traditional Irish way to spelled the name, but it can also be spelled Kian, if you think it may be pronounced correctly that way. 💙

Key-an. But I know people who would pronounce it See-an.

I live in MA and I would say Key-in. I have a Cillian so I’m a hugeee YES on this one. Love it!

I would say Key-in! I’m in west coast US too. I’ve heard the name before and I don’t think it would get mispronounced too often
