We just started sleep training and it’s been so rough. Especially because at night I feel like my husband can’t do much since she just wants to eat. The night before last I got 3 hours of sleep and one of them was spent in her rocking chair 🤦🏻♀️
Yes! Just planning to ride it out
Yes! But just sitting up for us. I give it 20-30 minutes if the cry is just a whimper and then pick up and niece back to sleep. Teething is mixed in for us so a little comfort nursing too. Our baby is “sleep trained” and my husband is worried it’s going to make baby revert backwards.
Yes! We're still room sharing and it wakes me up and we pick her up and she refuses to be put down again. Starting sleep training and putting her in her room next week! She's crawling and teething! Hubs and I are dying!!
Omg yes 😭 my baby started this last month (she just turned 9 mo) she would wake up and immediately stand up and cry and wont stop until I soothe her back to sleep and lately she’ve been doing this almost every hour and only sleeps through the night if I gave up and put her next to me in bed 🫠 help! 🫠🫠🫠
Ugh this is so rough mamas!! Thanks for the solidarity. Going to try all the things, teaching her to sit back down, lowering the crib more, letting her fuss a lil before picking back up. I miss sleep!!! 😴
My baby started doing that too. She just turned 9 months old yesterday. It’s on and off. Some nights she sits up and then quickly goes back to sleep. Other nights, she wakes up and stands in her crib crying until I pick her up. Last night, she slept throughout the night. So maybe there is hope 🩷 I think it gets better! Just takes some time
Im two weeks into this and it makes me feel so much better knowing its a “thing.” She was sleep trained and doing 12 hours a night then shifted to waking up five times a night. Im trying to manage mostly on my own but dying. She goes back to sleep if I nurse her, and I’m so tired I just do it because if I let her cry then we’re both up all night. I’ve tried going up and down on naps and bedtime, nothing seemed to make a difference. This isn’t a helpful post just a 🫂, glad to know we’re in it together
Emily, I'm experiencing the same thing. My baby keeps trying to stand up and gets tired, but when she sits up and cries, I know she needs help. It’s usually for milk, a diaper change, or just a hug. My husband also worries this will undo her sleep training.
yes! my baby started doing this a few months ago. this was when he was just starting to crawl and learning to pull up to stand. it lasted for like two weeks. if it was middle of the night we’d let him do that for about ten minutes and he’d end up sitting back down and going to sleep
