Baby head down

What does it feel like to have your fetus head down? I haven’t gotten the hang of mapping. Where should I be feeling kicks/movememts/pressure/etc? Dr told me last Tuesday that baby was head down. Then on Sunday, the 3d ultrasound tech said the baby hadn’t moved. My Dr has an agenda for delivering my baby on his terms & lowkey feel he is lying to me about the position of my baby. This week’s appointment, he was trying to get the heartbeat towards my lower an area. But the heartbeat was stronger when he moved up closer towards my right breast. I could tell he wasn’t happy about it. lol

I kinda suck at belly mapping lol but my biggest way to tell is where the hiccups are. I know baby is head down if I feel his hiccups by my hip bones, he had flipped at one point and his hiccups were by my ribs.

You’ll feel pressure right above your vagina. Most people describe it more as their pubic bone being in pain. You can feel movement anywhere from underneath your rib cage to your sides… they’ll typically be felt above the belly button though and the heartbeat can be detected below the belly button.

@Annika idk if having an anterior placenta makes a difference. But I don’t feel hiccups. Dr was listening to heartbeat and told me baby was hiccuping, I couldn’t feel a thing! 😅

@Liz i haattee anterior placenta, i had that with my last baby 😩 another way to tell is if it feels like you have a bowling ball on your vagina lol the pressure can be crazy, tons of lightning crotch which I'm dealing with right now 🫠

My boy has been head down the majority of my pregnancy. I feel majority of movements in my pelvis. His little butt LOVES to be up under my ribs. At this point I feel more pressure and wiggles. I can tell it’s his butt because it’s roughly the size of my palm. He also loves to just hang out on my right side, so he’s predictable.

My first was breech, this one is head down. So their head is a lot harder. Like a LOT. The booty is nice and squishy. With my oldest if I tapped on the head that was in my ribs there was no give it just moved. This one if I tap his but that’s in my ribs there’s some give before he moves. I never felt hiccups with my first, only this one and it’s right above my pubic bone. I have most movement lower with this one too, whereas my oldest most movement was from the top. When they do scans further along they can also tell wirh where they find the heartbeat. The found my oldests lower and this one’s pretty in line with my belly button this time. I was better at belly mapping than my on with my son he was trash told me 3 separate times he went head down when he was still very much breech and I told him he was still breech cuz it felt the same every time.

All I know is I could feel the pressure even more down there, and I feel his feet kick and get into my ribs or pop out my ribs

Don’t feel good to much weight and it’s painful

My baby is head down currently and I don’t feel much of anything that tells me that. I don’t have any pelvic pressure, my belly isn’t heavy and I’m carrying high. I feel kicks normally in the middle of my stomach, around my belly button. Sometimes it’s hard to feel and know. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Some moms never notice the difference. However it feels like a ball between your hips with a bunch of pressure

@Riengh I feel like I may be one of them moms! 😆 Last night I woke up middle of the night, really thirsty! Drank some water on my nightstand.. & realized I didn’t have a belly! I freaked out! Baby was really low. Them this morning as I’m eating breakfast, baby climbed back up! 😆

@Liz that sounds about right for some babies. Every baby is different with each pregnancy. Be glad to not have all the pressure. It gets really hard having pressure between your hips

@Liz my baby starts the day low and ends the day high 😂 I've never had a baby move around so much lol I call him my yoyo baby 😂😂

@Annika 🤣🤣🤣 For real! I can relate!!
