BLW

I have done BLW with my little boy since weaning him and he took to it so well, chewed everything properly and would eat anything, however the last couple of weeks I feel like we’ve gone backwards, he will still eat everything but I’m having to cut it up for him because it’s like he’s forgotten how to chew or will just shove the whole thing in his mouth and make himself choke🫠 just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Completely normal. And it will help him practice his pincer grip with it being cut into smaller pieces.

My boys is learning to not stuff so much food in his mouth at once. He was good at the start it must be a phase to see how far they can push it lol!

Could it be relating to his teething at all? My daughter definitely prefers softer, or puréed foods when her gums are uncomfortable as I think she’s trying to avoid chewing too much.

@Aggs I did think this! I did wonder if it was maybe hurting his gums when he was chewing, you can see his top two teeth right under the gum so it probably is that!
