@Lana literally my reaction when I opened it

Same happened to me 🤣 that’s why it’s funny!

We actually started once he started to walk around 10 months. He doesn't sit on the potty yet, but there is so much more to potty training! Exposure is so crucial! We talk about it every diaper change - poop, booty, pee, weenie, diapers, cleaning up the mess, etc. And he goes with us to the bathroom every time. He watches, we talk about what we're doing and why. How it works, and what is different. Does he understand all of that yet? Not really, but he loves going with us, and it gets him used to the routine. He has his own potty chair that looks like a real toilet, but we've not given it to him yet. About a month ago, he started to bring us diapers when he would poop or pee (he's in cloth), and now he is already stopping what he's doing to do either, and then immediately comes to us, so we're close! All of our kiddos were trained before 2 with this method. The more you talk and involve them in the process, the more likely they are to take an interest. However, every kiddo is different!

Realistically, I potty train at 2 unless they seem ready earlier or don't quite seem ready, then I adjust accordingly. I skip all of the potty seats to avoid extra transitions down the road. I do the 3 day method, but do allow pull ups for bed time until they're waking up dry consistently.

I got my first daughter her potty at 14 months but I didn’t start using it until she was 16 months. I just wanted it around so she’s familiar with it. I didn’t start potty training until she turned 2

I got my daughter one for Christmas. Just getting her used to it until she is fully walking which will be any day now. I'll likely start before the end of April. I did elimination communication starring at 2m so I have caught pees and poops already on the big potty.

My 14m old has one and sits on it clothes. I reward every time. But she’s not really talking and uses her own signs to talk. But she’s also in 3t/4t diapers and there’s only 2 sizes left. And even then those are right on her. So I may have to try a little harder 😅

@Ashley How old was your kiddo when they started bringing you diapers if I may ask? We are trying to do the same exposure method for our daughter. She is learning about pee and poop at 14 months and understands what we mean when we say were about to do a disper change and have her hold the diaper as we carry her over, but im curious as to when she could potentially start asking us for changes if she goes. *She isnt entirely walking on her own yet so im sure this also plays a factor as well in her potentially bringing diapers to us for a change.
