i agree with maria, it absolutely comes down to what makes you feel comfortable ! i have a feeling this little one will come early, so im planning to have everything ready from 37 weeks this includes washing his clothes etc
I’m 36+5 weeks today and I have everything ready 😂😂😂 I refuse to take any chances or have my partner rushing around if I go into labour. I’m one who likes to have everything organised quickly so I don’t have to think about it anymore. Everything has been ready since 34 weeks lol x
I’m 36+1 and getting induced 18th April (I’ll be 37 weeks) I’ve had his clothes washed and crib set up for a while now but everything else is getting sorted this weekend and all should be finished by Wednesday latest I’d say whenever you feel comfortable to sort everything, I’m only “rushing” as thought I still had 3-4 weeks before little ones appearance otherwise I wouldn’t have everything until 38-39 weeks
It's my 2nd so I don't really feel like I need to prep much - changing table is still in my toddler's room (and we have a spare changing mat in our bedroom for overnight). Next to me cot has been assembled for a while (although it's currently mostly used as baby clothes storage 😅). Our moses basket is at my in-laws, probably won't be bringing it in until baby arrives. Not much else to set up really. The kids will share a room eventually so I just need to reorganise clothes storage accordingly :)
We finished up today, 36 + 2. My first was born at 41 + 6 so I'm not expecting an early baby, but I prefer to just be able to relax now and not be trying to do this stuff in the last few weeks
Everything I have bought is ready to go
Thanks girls! That’s a massive help. Think I’ll start putting things in place tomorrow. I’d rather have it set up for a few weeks beforehand than rushing around ❤️❤️
I'm 35 weeks, and have been very very slowly chipping away at bits and bobs over the past month as I've been too tired to do everything in a mad rush lol. I've finished buying all the essentials and stocked up on nappies, wipes etc, got the crib, car seat and pram unpacked, built and ready to go, next on the list is to get the hospital bags sorted, clean the clothes, and have left the baby's room until last just because it's not actually a massive issue if that hasn't been decorated until after birth seeing as they'll be in our room for the first few months anyways 😊
@Robyn I’m the same! I just wanted everything done, I think everything was done by 32 weeks🤣. I’d rather know it is tho so I’m not having to stress and rush last minute and I could tell my partner a million times where somethin is an hed still not have a clue 🙉xx
Hey Jade, I’m 36 weeks today! I’m planning to have everything set up by week 39, since that’s when most babies are statistically born. But I want everything to be ready and easy to set up by week 38 at the latest—because, you know, statistics include both late and EARLY arrivals, if that makes sense! Kind of a nerdy approach, I know.😅 But honestly, I feel like decisions like this should really come down to whatever makes you feel comfortable and safe.
