Sleep…

Before any one says it I know he’s too young to be diagnosed yet but all the signs and symptoms are there. So ifto start off I have a 14 month old son and a 27 month old son. We had issues with my 27 month olds sleep but it has gotten better. We suspect my 14 month old to be autistic. My now 14 month old refuses to sleep and will fight against in so much. I am so sleep deprived that through the day my partner works and I’m physically fighting to stay awake for my son’s safety. My question is, has anyone took their 14 month old to gp and got help? (For reference I’m in the uk) I feel like I’d just be sent away and told to get used to it… I can’t any more as it’s putting both me and my kids safety at risk now. Any tips/help/advice is welcome too. We use white noise and a night light. Have tried no light with noise, no light no noise, light no noise. The issue lies that my sons share a bedroom and my 27 month old will only go to sleep with waves and night light 😭 please help a momma in need out

Is there anything else that makes you think he might be autistic? Issues with sleep alone can be down to a number of different things. Like you say, he would be too young for an official diagnosis anyway. But it does sound like you need some help with his sleep. Have you tried any kind of sleep training? Is he able to self settle or does he rely on rocking/feeding to sleep? Also just to say, it’s incredibly tough and you’re doing an amazing job!

@Danasia where do you purchase it?? I can’t seem to find it. I’m facing the same problems with my son xx

@Jules there’s a lot he’s delayed in his development, he stuns, he doesn’t like loud noises, rarely makes eye contact with people (unless close family he’s in constant contact with). When he is old enough (nursery age) I will be sending him for an assessment. I have also had friends and family who have autistic children, work with and are constantly around them say they think he is too as he is very similar to them. He doesn’t self settle but also we don’t rock he lays on my chest with his white noise and will go to sleep but if I lay him down on the bed he will just sit straight up. I have tried it but he is always just getting overly upset and worked up or just plays until he physically can’t go no more.

@Jules also thank you, I really needed to hear thank 😩🥹 xxx

@Danasia I will give it a go thank you x
