Sleep help 😫
My girl is 22 months and usually she goes for a nap after a quick cuddle and falling asleep in my arms & the sleeps for 2 hours. Same applied to bed time, cuddle for 10 mins until she falls asleep then sleeps mostly through the night.
The past week or so has been HELL getting her to sleep! It’s been taking us 45 mins or more and we’ve tried putting her in her cot awake (this is how she sleeps at nursery) but she just plays around! The only thing that eventually works is when we leave the room she cries and tires herself out so when we go back in after 2 mins she’s ready to sleep.
Not sure what to do as I hate hearing her cry but I can’t spend hours getting her to sleep 😫 I also do want her to go to sleep on her own without us having to be in the room or cuddling to sleep, but after nearly 2 years of doing that, I don’t even know where to start! Suggestions welcome please ❤️
If she's playing happily leave her. Bit when you go in if she crys that what we had to start doing lately for my little one who used to self sooth to sleep soon as he's ready to sleep he would cry I go in and cuddle with him and he goes to sleep. It's a regression at this age sleep is affected and separation anxiety it's to do with all the new bits they are learning. It's just a phase so if she's ok with you been in the room do the disappearing chair sit near her cot when she falls a sleep go in a few days move further to the door same thing I don't talk I shhh and when you get outside the room it was like 2 days then I didn't have to be in his room I could go down and I would close his door a little I managed to pop him on close door and that was that bit this regression is hard x
