Try a halty lead. It goes around their mouth (it's not a muzzle, can still open mouth, eat, drink) but when they pull their head turns. Like a horse. That's what we trained out dog with, no she just has a loose slip lead around her chest and walks lovely next to the pram, bar a few excitable barks when she sees some dogs. I was surprised how well she walked next to the pram but I think because pram goes in front, she's forced to walk beside me anyway. I take my boy and dog out in a pram but I also carry my boy in an ergo baby Omni 360
I have 2 dogs and used a baby carrier at first. It was much easier than a stroller. Now my dogs do a good job of staying to the right of the stroller. But I would recommend a carrier if the stroller just won't work.
I have terrible dog mum guilt!! My 2 little dogs used to be with us all the time and now I can’t cope with them and 2 babies 😭 luckily my 2 babies are in nursery twice a week and I always make sure the dogs get a good run out on those mornings, the other 5 days they get short 20-40 min walks at least once a day but it’s not what they’re used to 🥲 have also noticed our younger dog putting on weight so I know I need to do more!!!
