Weaning off formula

So the advice is to start weaning off formula around 12 months and introduce cow’s milk. My 10 month old baby is still having more or less the same amount of bottles a day and feeds 2-3 times throughout the night. She’s always wanted milk every 1-1.5 hours since birth. I don’t think that she’ll drop this by 12 months. She has 2-3 meals a day, somedays she eats more and other days less. The advice is also to stop using bottles around 6-9 months. This all seems impossible! She’ll drink from a straw cup during meals but I doubt it’ll work during the night. I know this is all advice but are other mums carrying on with the same routine until their little ones show that they’re ready to stop having their milk? Advice please!

My daughter was the same. She did formula until about 14 months then was only on whole milk. She also always wanted a bottle through the night. They can use bottles until 12-18 months they just encourage use of other cups early on. This shouldn’t affect her teeth. We started with 3:1 formula to whole milk for her transition. Going a couple days for each one until she fully transitioned as to not hurt her tummy. I hope this helps! Also by 14 months she was sleeping through the night and no longer needed milk before bed 🙂 I didn’t push her too much though.
