We graduated to sippy cup or straw cup slowly. More or less let her keep trying. Then one day, the lightbulb lit and she was ok. She still gets “triggered” by a bottle and give her one to sleep for now
I only give her one before sleep now. I started to give her bottle only in the night since she was around 8 months ,and when she was close to 1 she stopped waking up in the night for bottle feeding. Probably at around 15-16 months I will start to give her from the sippy cup. Atm she is terrible with falling asleep for the night,it takes me one h + to put her to sleep, so all the help like milk bottle and dummy I am not very eager to let them go😅😅
Mine has stomach trouble when she drinks too quickly, so while she could handle the sippy cup it was going down too fast. I focused on time of bottles instead of changing to sippy cups. She has her milk with her meals, and does not get before bed. We’ll try the sippy cup again soon.
My daughter loved her bottle 😅🤣 so I got her a sippy cup with a soft tip, it also has handles so she can hold it because the bottle is cold because of the milk. I'm sure the doctors would say it's not ideal but it's a step in the right direction. She also uses a straw cup pretty well.
i just kinda started swapping out one bottle at a time with a sippy cup and it worked pretty well, tbh! I actually checked the 'Heal App' for this and here's what it says: "Weaning your 12-month-old from bottles can be a gradual process. Start by replacing one bottle at a time with a sippy cup or a regular cup, ideally during the morning or bedtime routine. It might help to offer a favorite drink, like water or milk, in the new cup to make it more appealing. Also, try to establish a comforting bedtime routine that doesn’t involve the bottle, such as reading a story or singing a lullaby. How does your child respond to new cups or different drinks?"
We’re struggling in this department. Here for the advice 😅
