Why?

So Dakota is 2 years and 3 weeks old. She knows that her name is Dakota, but she will tell everyone that she is called Margot. Does anyone have any insight into why this is? Or is she just being a cheeky two year old. Picture of Dakota just because she's cute (excuse the creepy head. That's the wife's)

Don’t know why but I’d say it’s a phase. My daughter told everyone her name was Rosie for about a year (she isn’t called Rosie!). She confused everyone we met haha. I never called her Rosie or encouraged it, but I didn’t tell her off if that makes sense. She is now 5 years old and no Rosie for about a year 🤣

Probably still remembering a past life. I don’t know if I’m joking or not 🫠

@Jessica I was thinking this 🤣

maybe she doesn't like her name

Is there a cartoon she likes with a character named Margot? She might have heard it somewhere

My little one is going through a phase of constantly wanting to be a boy. So we play games as if she’s the husband or boy 😂 And then sometimes she will say her name is Rita. Don’t even know a Rita!! Probably just a phase. Their little minds are fascinating ☺️

@Aimie maybe Rita from the bluey grannies episode 😅?

@Aimie we don't know a margot either

@Hollie ahhhh!! This makes sense now actually. 😂😂😂
