Bedtime

My girl is still screaming and crying every time I leave the room for bedtime. Is this normal at their age?

It is normal over here! I dread and fear the day my kids out of her crib.

Sometimes I still pat my youngest to sleep or just to the point where she’s relaxed. Do you just leave her in a dark quiet room or do you use sounds like rain or lullabies ? Stuffed animal or other security item?

@Caroline so do I!! I was hoping she’d be good by now, but nope. It’s a disaster every night unless I hold her for 30-40 mins until she’s fast asleep.

@Celestial I use white noise, a completely dark room, and a stuffed animal in the crib. I have to hold her until she is fast asleep if I want to avoid the screaming. But if I try to put her down awake, even if she’s exhausted, she will scream.

My guy has been on/off like that since sleep training at 9 months 🫠 I also fear the day he's out of the crib.

@Tiffany same here!!!

Mine didn’t for awhile but recently started again. I’ve noticed he also has started trying to procrastinate our bedtime routine. He usually only cries a minute though.

That’s what we do. She won’t even let me try anymore only my husband. We’ll rock her until we literally can’t anymore (which might be soon cause she’s 35”) but it helps her sleep and stay asleep and then us too so whatever it takes

@Lexi a minute!! Blessings 🥰😂 lol!! If I don’t want her to cry forever I have to go in there with her.

@Caroline she definitely does best if we hold her until she falls asleep. But sometimes that takes forever. I just keep telling myself this won’t be forever.

Yeah. My son is like this.
