Breast feeding mommas

My 6 week year old who cluster feeds throughout the day (around every 2/3 hours) only wakes up once or maximum twice throughout the night and sometimes will go from 10/11pm - 4/5am throughout the night. Some health professionals have advised I wake her up throughout the night to feed her but others have said let her sleep as she will wake up if she’s hungry. She is breastfed only and has never lost weight since birth. I don’t want to wake her if I don’t need to but getting so many different pieces of advice from health professionals isn’t helpful. - Also if I do wake her she won’t feed properly anyway as she isn’t interested. Does anybody else’s breastfeed baby do the same? If so do you wake them?

I’ve always been told that if they are passed birth weight and gaining weight healthily, let them sleep overnight! My baby is the same (although combi feeding at the min, due to big weight loss and struggles gaining, we’re trying to wean off of the formula) and is on the boob very very often in the day but will sleep 11-3:30 ish each night and I do not wake her now she is back up to birth weight and gaining xx

My baby did this since when she was 6 weeks old, I use to try and wake her up to feed during the night as she was fully breastfeed but she was not interested, she is still the same now at 14 months old she still doesn't feed during the night even if she is awake, she will go to sleep between 8-9pm awake between 5-6am.

My daughter was the same! Let her sleep and enjoy it :) If her weight is good your bubba isn't lethargic take the rest mama

I definitely feel like she would wake up if she was hungry as she does in the day every few hours. & also surely if baby is sleeping for long throughout the night this allows us mommas to feel a little more normal getting enough sleep 😅

Stopped waking up my boy at 3 weeks and he is now 7 weeks. When he is hungry, he wakes me up. Enjoy the sleep!

My little one is 7 weeks old and same as your daughter has never lost weight from birth She is breastfed only and I literally just let her sleep till she starts looking for a boob or when she actually wakes herself up for a feed x Hope that’s helps
