Conjunctivitis

If your little one had conjunctivitis, would you take them out anywhere? We’ve got pre booked tickets for an Easter event today which is at a soft play but my girl has got conjunctivitis so wondering whether I should keep her at home as it’s so contagious? 😞

If she has discharge coming from her eyes and treatment hasn’t been started, I wouldn’t take her. If the discharge isn’t appearing and you have started treatment then I would just see how she feels.

@Kayleigh I would say it’s started as her eye is very crusty 🥲

I think if she’s still got it by the weekend then I wouldn’t personally take her to soft play. Id ask myself would I be annoyed if I saw a child there with conjunctivitis & then every child touching their faces & potentially getting it :) Side note….if your little one has ended up in your bed then make sure to wash your pillow cases (from past experience) :)

drops normally start working super quickly, my little boy got them on monday night and you cant tell anymore, still continuing with the drops for the full 5 days as the box recommends x

As long as you start treatment it's not contagious

Hey! My 9 week old has started the drops on Wednesday but not any better, perhaps worse. Wondered if this was normal?
