Practical ways to make your birth better by Siobhan Miller. Green/white stripy cover. Best, most empowering birth book out there 👌🏻

Anything by Dr Sara Wickham

I am currently reading The Positive Birth Book by Milli Hill which seems good so far. Also got a couple of books by Dr Sarah Wickham to read next. One of them is In Your Own Time and I can't remember the name of the other.

Practical ways to make your Birth better by Siobhan Miller

I think the books called “your baby week by week” but gives a brief overview of what to expect each week for most of the first week I think. There’s also an app and book that covers the different “leaps” your baby will go through and when. Xx

I read the Modern Midwife’s book - Pregnancy Birth and Beyond during first trimester. Was a really easy read which is what I needed at the time! It was quite practical but doesn’t go into too much depth. I will go back and read it again closer to B Day. Currently I’m listening to Siobhan Miller’s book off Spotify (don’t have time to sit and read atm! So listen while walking the dog!) that’s already been mentioned. It’s turned me from a hypnobirth-sceptic to a fan! Agree it makes you feel empowered and it’s turned my anxiety around. I’d go so far as to say I’m getting quite excited for the birth!
