I'm trying to transition to 3 naps as well because my baby seems to be having longer wake windows of 2 to 2.5h but struggling with a feeding routine to meet this new nap schedule. @Natalie do you mind sharing how long each naps usually are and how often/when you feed the baby during the day? Any nighttime feeds?
@Natalie thank you!
@Divya hey of course so I won't lie his naps can range from half hour only to an hour, then it is a long slog each wake window keeping him occupied for the two hours , he feeds every 3 hours during the day 9oz and no night time feeds , his feeds during day are 7 , 10 ,1 ,4 and 7 or as close to this as I can get him x
Nope lol. Still on 4, 30mims a day. Sometimes he has 3 but then he is super grumpy at like 5pm
We are going through this transition at the moment but sometimes she needs the extra 4th nap. I'm finding last nap of the day needs to start around 3.30/4pm for a 6.30-7.30 bedtime depending on the length of the nap. Not sleeping through the night though still wakes every 3/4 hours
I can’t take any credit for transitioning as it was fully led by baby, but our routine is the following: - wake up 7:30/8 - nap 1 around 9 (1 hour - awake by 10) - nap 2 around midday (1-1/2 hours - awake by 2) - nap 3 around 4ish (1 1/2 hours) - awake by 5:30/6) - bedtime at 7:30 Seems to work for us and I always make sure she’s awake by 10, 2 & 6 to ensure that bedtime isn’t set back too late/in line with feeds
Baby gets up between 7/7:30 , first nap is 2 hours after this , I keep his wake windows to 2 hours and he gets put down for a nap , his naps are usually close to 9 , 1 , and 4 ish same evey day no sleeping later than half 5 bed for half 7 , sleeps 12 hours
