Don’t, whatever you do, scratch it. It will make it so much worse and it will damage the skin and take longer to heal.
@Sharon thank you for your help, I don’t think i could scratch it, even if I wanted too. Wayyyyy too sore. 😵 Will give the oat bath a go!
I had it with my first pregnancy Calamine lotion helped a lot I hope it works for you, I know it’s easier for me to say but try not to scratch (I did this and it spread)!! Grandpas pine tar soap helped me a lot I stopped using my usual shower gel etc and used that for a bit people don’t like the smell but I honestly didn’t mind it Make sure to wear loose cotton clothes , sitting infront of the fan also helped with the burning sensation
@Nas my daughter keeps telling me I stink from the calamine lotion 🤣 rather stink than burn. Seen a few comments about the pine soap. Think I’ll have to make a purchase.
I had something that looked like this but it was postpartum and I had to be prescribed steroid cream I don’t know what type of rash it was that I had but was super itchy raised red and sore like this, hopefully yours gets better soon
I never experienced this but maybe try aloevera gel it may cool the burning /itching sensation as it does for sunburn x
What’s the actual name for this 😳 That’s something I’ve never seen
I didn't have it when I Was pregnant with my first born
I had it with both, but it was worse with my boy. I never had it this bad & I never found anything to relieve it. Even after he was born, I was itchy as long as the scabs were there. 😢 I hope you find some relief soon! 🤞🤞🤞
@Esme Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy. (Pappp)
Your baby bump is cute tho 💙 I would use fresh Aloe plant as a natural soother
@Nola Sunshiine made my day ! Thank you ☺️ Will give it a go 🙌🏽
Just got diagnosed with this at 22 weeks and it showed up in week 12/13 😭 Mine is not this bad but I was also told it could last all pregnancy and I’m not loving that idea. I was told to try Benadryl cream and cold compress after HOT shower. I also got a Sarna calm+cool lotion that’s super mentholated and it’s been helping so much.
OMG your skin is on fire - you poor thing! I don’t know what to suggest except maybe an oatmeal bath (put some oats in a pair of tights and run it under the tap - lukewarm or cool water because heat will make it worse). Maybe try a good soothing moisturiser (Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Baume is my go-to) and just wear loose soft cotton clothes. You can also throw calamine lotion in your bath or soak a washcloth in it and lay it across your tummy. If it doesn’t get any better, you could go back and ask for oral steroids (but I imagine they are reluctant to hand those out).
