If your hospital allows eating, then try to eat during the early stages. I was also induced (unplanned) at 39 weeks and delivered April 2nd. I would definitely try to stay relaxed and focus on breathing techniques. Not sure if you plan on an epidural or not, but I initially wasn't, but especially with being induced, the pain did eventually get to a tipping point for me that I decided to get an epidural. So, another tip is to listen to your body and trust yourself with any decisions. You've got this!
Seconding food comments. I was induced 4/7 and used headphones (defiant jazz playlist on Apple Music is 🔥) to listen to music that calmed but energized me to block out external stimuli and manage anxiety. Epidural was key. The anesthesiologist and nurse had their work cut out for them getting me comfortable enough where they could safely place it so I wish i hadn’t waited so long. And that was done at not even 3cm dilated! My labor nurses were amazing. Don’t be afraid to question the care team thoroughly before making any decisions or even to push back but also be open to plans changing. Go with the flow, lean on support. You got this💪
Eat on the way to the hospital or right before you leave home. My hospital was awesome to bring entire trays of all of the liquid diet foods they allowed, but that was not my experience where I delivered in the past.
