Belly button popping out?
Is this an umbilical hernia, or is this normal? Should I be concerned? My baby is 6 weeks old, and doesn’t have his next doctors appointment until may 10th. Should I bring him sooner?
It’s worse when he is pushing to poop or crying (which he was in the photo), but even when he’s not, it’s popping out a bit.

Yes it is unfortunately it takes probably 6 months or a year for it Correct its ownself Which your pediatrician will let you know at your appointment

My baby has the same issue. My pediatrician said it’s a small hernia that should resolve in 12 months, also said as long as it isn’t hard when you press on it then it’s fine.
