Identical twin boy names! What should we call the other twin?

I think they sound different when the whole name is pronounced and go really well together but would say don’t shorten Arthur to Artie if you’re going to shorten Alfred to Alfie as these do sound very samey. But Art is lovely!

i love Alfred and& Arthur for twins - i'm not keen on super matchy names for twins, but other than both names beginning with an A, I don't think the names are similar. I think Arthur is a bit to similar, I love Hugo!! Alfie and Hughie also sounds ADORABLE together 🥹🥹 I’m not a fan of siblings that have similar sounding names in general though but especially twins I’d personally want to give them even more distinction but that’s just my opinion ofc, all your options are good!

I know a Hugo nicknamed Huggie when he was little and grew into Hugo when he was about 7/8, I personally wouldn’t give twins the same starting initials others Rupert/Reuben (Rue), Theodore (Teddy/Theo), Seth, Wilfred (Wilf/Freddie)
